Teaching Team: Duties include teaching and/or assisting in a Children’s Church. Classes: Nursery, Pre-K, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary

Special Events: Interested in helping with occasional Chilren's Ministries

Youth Ministries

Youth Volunteer: Assist with youth group gatherings or an occasional event

Food Volunteer: Provide an occasional meal for youth group.

Welcoming Tasks

Coffee Set-up: Sunday morning. Duties: Arrive by 9:30 a.m. to make coffee. Clean up items after worship.

UPUCC Greeters: Sunday morning. Duties: Arrive by 10:00 a.m. to set

UPUCC Ushers: 2 needed each Sunday. Duties: Arrive by 10:00 a.m. to welcome folks at worship space door and distribute bulletins. Assist late comers, help people find seats, collect offering and offer microphone to people during Celebrations and Concerns.

Worship, Pastoral & Educational Ministries

Music Ministries: Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, soloists and instrumentalists.

Liturgist (Lay Reader): One each Sunday. Duties: typically leads the congregation in the Call to Worship, Affirmation of Community and reads scripture.

Communion Preparation volunteer: First Sunday of the month. Duties: Arrive by 10:15 a.m. Bring a loaf of bread and small bottle of grape juice. Provide necessary table set-up and return cleaned items to storage after worship.

Forums/Adult Education: Share your faith journey, lead a forum or book study.

Pastoral Care Assistance: Provide meals or transportation to a doctor.

Behind-the-Scenes

Clean Team: Teams range from 4 to 6 people and clean the church once a month. Each team arranges their own schedule. Generally takes 1-2 hours/month.

Offering Auditor: Sunday following worship.. Duties: Help the Assistant Treasurer, verify and sign-off on the cash count from the collection basket immediately following worship. Once a month or so.

Sound System: Duties: Arrive by 10:15 a.m. Sunday to set up system before worship and shut down following the service Volunteers typically serve about once every 6 to 8 weeks.

Office Angel: Time varies depending on the project and will typically be on weekdays. Occasional.

Building & Grounds: Help with general maintenance / handy person, landscaping. Occasional.
