PLEASE BE ADVISED, OUR FIELD TRIP PROGRAM HAS CHANGED!

NOTE:
- We recommend reserving field trips 2 weeks in advanced as spots fill quickly.
- When we receive a completed registration form with a valid email and contact number our reservation coordinator will contact you within 3-5 business days to confirm the details of your field trip.
- The MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition will run October 21, 2017 - January 21, 2018

School Year 2017-2018 Field Trips
FIELD TRIP REQUIREMENTS
(1) Groups with 25 or more people
(2) that pay with a single form of payment, and
(3) are booked in advance.

FIELD TRIPS INCLUDE
A Teacher Resource Guide
A group greeting
2 hours to explore the Center
Science demonstrations throughout the center
Reserved lunch space on a first-come, first-served basis

FIELD TRIP PRICING
ADDITIONAL chaperones that EXCEED the 1 chaperone to 5 student ratio will be asked to pay general admission pricing. Guests must pay the general admission prices.

School Year 2017-2018: $4.00 per person
School Breaks: $6.00 per person

NEED-BASED PRICING
Additional needs-based discounts are available for qualifying groups. Qualifying groups are identified by the percentage of students who are eligible for free and reduced lunches (FRL). ONLY the guests WITHIN the ratio of 1 chaperone per 5 student ratio receive the field trip rate.

WHY THESE PRICES?
General admission pricing to the Discovery Center is $16-$18 per person. Due to the generous support of our community and members, we are able to offer reduced admission pricing of $4.00 per person for educational groups visiting the Center during the school year. We recognize that there are many shapes and forms of need and are grateful to be able to offer additional assistance through the support of our community partners and sponsors including:

Chaperones are adults and teachers accompanying the field trip. Our minimum chaperone to student ratio is 1:10 and our maximum is 1:5. ANY CHAPERONE THAT EXCEEDS THE 1:5 RATIO WILL BE CHARGED GENERAL ADMISSION PRICES, $18. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Will your students need an indoor lunch space? *
The Discovery Center has limited space available for students to each lunch. Lunch spaces can be reserved for 30 min blocks. Please let us know below if your students will need a lunch space. Requests will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis.

Rescheduling/Canceling
After you submit your registration form, our reservation coordinator will contact you within 3-5 business days to confirm the details of your field trip.

After confirmation the Discover Center cannot guarantee a change of date if requested. We reserve the right to deny rescheduling in order to manage conflicts with other groups. Currently the Center does not charge a rescheduling fee, but rather we monitor rescheduling incidents for each organization. Field Trip and Group cancellations are subject to a $35 fee.
