Application for Courses with ECC

This is the application to apply for Energy Auditing Courses with EnerCity Collaborative (ECC). Our classes are free to participants. These cohorts are funded through the Energy Friendly Homes Program and Energy Trust of Oregon.

In Winter/ Spring 2026 ECC is offering:

-    BPI Cohort 3: (FULL) Building Science Principles (BSP) online, the Building Analyst Technician (BA- T) March 2 - 13, and the Building Analyst Professional (BA- P) May 18 - 22

-    BPI Cohort 4: Building Science Principles (BSP) online, the Building Analyst Technician (BA- T) April 20 - May 1, and the Building Analyst Professional (BA- P) June 8 - 12.

If you would like to apply for any of these classes, please submit this survey application. 

Preference will be given to: 1) contractors working with, or who will apply to participate with, the Energy Friendly Homes Program or have other Portland Clean Energy Benefits Fund (PCEF) contracts, 2) applicants who have a home address in one of the following counties: Clackamas, Clark, Columbia, Multnomah, Skamania, Washington, or Yamhill, or 3) applicants who live in Oregon. Applicants must be 18 or older. Application review began November 18 and will continue until these cohorts fill. To learn more about EnerCity Collaborative or the BPI trainings click HERE.

Your responses to these questions help us understand your needs as well as with our own grant fund reporting. Please know that these courses are currently grant funded and free to qualifying participants.  Participants are paid training dollars for the first week BA-T and BA- P trainings. If you do end up taking a course with us, you agree to fill out a yearly survey for up to three years after the course to help us better understand how these courses influenced your professional path.

Would you need accommodations for the online, class room, or field testing portion of the training? The trainings involve listening, reading, speaking, sitting, and moving around a multi-story house with stairs. The BA-T exam is oral and involves explaining specific concepts. It also involves setting up equipment and moving around the house. The BA-P exam is online, multiple choice word problems. (If accepted into the program, we will call everyone who checks Yes or Unsure to understand need.) *
