Community Cycling project at The Eddington
Thank you for offering to donate a bike or equipment to the bike recycling project at The Eddington.

We're at the start of a very exciting journey developing the spaces at this community venue into a 'one stop shop' for sustainability - creating activities and events that inspire and support people to live greener, healthier lives.

The cycling project is starting in 2025 with the aim of repairing and servicing donated bikes and finding new homes for them. The bikes may be given away, or sold at affordable prices or we may develop relationships with the intended new owners who could 'earn a bike' through volunteering.

We're learning from other community projects and one of the big risks, is that we end up with a big bike grave yard that takes up valuable space and that we don't have the resource to deal with.

We are starting small, then intend to grow at a pace we can manage. With this in mind, please could you fill in the short survey below and then we will let you know if we can accept your donation.

Currently, we cannot accept e-bikes (possibly in future)

Either way, we're very grateful for your support - THANK YOU from all the volunteers at The Eddington Kendal CIC.
