RNA HALA Survey: Participate by 5/15/17
The City has drafted plans that will reshape transit-oriented communities in response to Seattle's growth and affordability issues. The HALA (Housing Affordability Livability Agenda) plan changes will affect all residential and commercial properties in the Roosevelt, and some Ravenna parcels east of 15th Ave NE. You can watch a video of our December Land Use Academy on this topic here: http://bit.ly/2mYx8uR

In response to the City of Seattle's March neighborhood outreach regarding HALA, the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association (RNA) has identified a need to reopen this survey, which solicits the community's input on the draft Roosevelt zoning changes ("Roosevelt Draft Plan"). Your participation is voluntary and confidential. Please submit your responses by May 15, 2017. You can also submit feedback directly to the City via https://hala.consider.it/

What is especially helpful to the City in your responses are comments in regard to zoning changes, transitions between zones, and achievement of greater density in the neighborhood, in conjunction with the future Light Rail station and increased transit connections.

The RNA recently submitted a report based on community input from the Dec. 10th RNA-HALA workshop and survey results through mid-January and will submit additional comments from community members to the City of Seattle after this survey closes in May. We anticipate that the City will release revised plans later in 2017.

Thanks for your engagement!

**Please note that all feedback on these maps and a soon-to-be-released DEIS must be received by the City by June 30, 2017. The final proposal and maps are expected to be transmitted to City Council in the summer/fall, with Council review in early 2018. Please note that the City is hosting some upcoming meetings to hear from community members, including in NE Seattle (4/29 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm). Learn more here: Seattle.gov/HALA/calendar**
