Eligibility: All students, alumni, faculty and staff from the UT community who have had an international experience may submit photographs. Publication: The Office of International Programs will publish the top photographs in the 2019 Spartans Abroad Calendar.
Suggested subjects: Representing UT while abroad, landscape/scenery, cultural expression, architecture/monuments and local color. Judging is based on artistic merit and how well the photo portrays the UT international experience.
Specifications: Entries that do not meet the specifications below will not be considered for publication in the calendar. • Two entry maximum per person. Photo must have been shot on location outside of the U.S.• Submit photographs in digital format only (NO HARD COPIES ARE NEEDED) • Photos may be in color or black and white. • Digital images must be at least 2,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 2,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image) * maintaining the highest pixel settings on both camera and phone provides the best results*• Digital files must be named with the following naming convention: • lastname_firstname_gradyear_country_picname (shortened). For example: Smith_John_2017_Thailand_sunset *Grad year can be actual or anticipated *put N/A for grad year if you are not a UT student or alumni • Digital files must be uploaded using the appropriate link. Email submissions will not be accepted.
Considerations: Pixilated photographs will not be displayed or considered for the calendar. Photographs downloaded from websites like Facebook have often been compressed.
