Presidential Academy 2019 Application
Teachers, we hope you will apply for Strengthening Democracy through History and Civics, an American History and Civics Presidential Academy being held on July 7-20, 2019! The due date to submit this online application form is March 1, 2019, and participants will be notified on April 1.

This academy will occur at the same time and venue as a Congressional Academy for high-need high school students. Based on the grant provided by the U.S. Department of Education to fund the academies, preference will be given to teams of a teacher and two students applying from the same school or school district. You are welcome to encourage rising seniors in your school or district to apply using our Congressional Academy application for students.

Although most of the application is short fill-in information, please note that there is a brief essay. We highly recommend preparing and saving your essay in another document and pasting the text into this form, so that no information is lost. Once the form is submitted, you will not be able to make online edits to your submission.

If you have any difficulties with completing or submitting this online form, please email presidentialacademy@civiced.org for an alternate version. In addition to this application form, please submit a Letter of Support form (http://www.civiced.org/pdfs/academies/AcademiesAdministratorLetterofSupport.pdf) signed by a school administrator and a copy of your resume to the Center for Civic Education by email to presidentialacademy@civiced.org.

Please contact John Hale at hale@civiced.org with any questions.
