May 15th&16th, 2020 - Lifeguarding Course
This is a Red Cross course that certifies individuals in Lifeguarding skills. This class will take place on Friday May 15th and Saturday May 16th. Both days will be at Ceraland Park and Rec in Columbus, IN. On Friday we meet from 3:30 to 7pm at the trap house to complete classroom work. On Saturday we will meet at the pool from noon to 5pm for the swimming portion of the course. *New lifeguards need to attend BOTH days. Returning lifeguards who need to renew their certificate will only need to attend on Saturday 16th.*
-You must be 15 years of age in order to be certified in lifeguarding.
- I encourage you to bring a snack/water-bottle. It is a long course, with a lot of information to learn in a short amount of time.
- On Saturday especially, BRING WARM CLOTHES!!!! (and probably a couple towels!) The pool will be COLD and you will want them!!
(- Please realize that this is a hands on class. We will be practicing saves with each other. We will social distance as much as possible, but you will also need to be willing to work closely with others when needed.)
Fees: New lifeguards $175
Returning Lifeguards $100
Checks can be made out to: Ceraland Park
