Research & Special-use Computing Device Purchases
This form is required for Researchers intending to purchase non-standard computing devices for review by a Committee comprised of representatives from Research Administration, Information Security, Procurement, and Campus IT Support. Please be detailed in your answers as the information often expedites the review process and minimizes the need for additional correspondence by Committee members.

Researchers are responsible for maintaining and supporting non-standard computing devices in compliance with all UMS Information Security Policies and Practices in addition to any project specific requirements. You also need to understand that UMS:IT only provides a "Best Effort" support for these non-standard computing devices to provide assistance when attempting to connect to UMS Resources.
