The Pink Transcripts is a project, which combines Documentary Theatre and Drama Therapy as a hybrid strategy through regular and sustained 10 workshop sessions for LGBTQ+ and cross-dresser members of the Southeast Asian (SEA) communities in London.
The sessions will lead to a public performance in May as a form of engagement and conversation with the SEA communities and with the British public as a whole and as documentation of the narratives of the struggle faced by LGBTQ+ and cross-dressers within already marginalised Southeast Asian communities in London.
The Phase 1 of the project consists of 5 documentary sessions and the Phase 2 consists of 5 rehearsal sessions and public performances.
Schedule (Subject to changes):
Phase 1 (via Zoom): Documentary sessions (every other Sunday evenings) - 18th October, 1st/15th/29th November, 20 December 2020
Phase 2 (TBC): January - May 2021, 5 rehearsal sessions and public performances will be conducted face to face in London if covid19 restrictions allow.
* Participants will be given a small allowance to replace internet data/travel expenses for each session.
