Faculty/Staff Research Lab Application
Open to 5C faculty/staff who are interested in working collaboratively across 5-C campuses and across disciplines to study environmental issue(s) in East and/or Southeast Asia. The concept for the Research Labs was born out of an expressed need for a flexible framework that best suited the skills, expertise, and interests of faculty/staff. Research Labs will produce at least one academic product, such as a working paper, article, book, art piece, etc.

Research Labs, composed of four faculty/staff, will have available: $10,000 for stipends, and $15,000 in support (for supplies/travel/funds to hire students as research assistants. We do not wish to fund food-related expenses unless they are related to travel). Primary Research Lab activities should take place July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020.

We look to fund Research Labs that meet the guiding principles of EnviroLab Asia, especially cross-disciplinary and cross-campus collaborations.

Research Lab participants will be asked to partake in assessment activities, and other reporting to the Henry Luce Foundation, which supports EnviroLab Asia.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, and strongly encourage applicants from the Sciences and/or non-Asian Studies backgrounds.

The application is due March 29, 2019.
