This amazing facility also houses the remarkable physical collection of Data Metallogenica (see www.dmgeode.com). The forum will be preceded by a tour of the physical collection. There will be a special announcement outlining the details of an initiative that will enhance the value of Data Metallogenica to users.
The “Ideas Factory” will consist of a number of invited speakers that will address delegates on a variety of topics of interest to our members. The forum is held twice a year and always in conjunction with Board of Directors meetings.
We are proud to have a great line-up of speakers who currently include:
"The application of the Corescan hyperspectral technology in the minerals industry" – Mr Neil Goodey (Managing Director - Corescan)
"The role of renewables in powering the future mine" – Prof. Gus Nathan (Director - Centre for Energy Technology, University of Adelaide)
"The PRIF Research Consortium: Unlocking Complex Resources through Lean Processing - what it will deliver" – Prof. Stephen Grano (Executive Director - Institute of minerals and Energy, University of Adelaide)
"How big data and artificial intelligence will transform the construction and use of resource models" – Prof. Peter Dowd (School of Civil, Environmental & Mining Engineering, University of Adelaide)
“The application of the Rapid Oxidative Leaching process in the minerals industry” – Mr Gary Roy (Process Line Director - FLSmidth)
"Beneficiation - the next frontier to reduce the environmental footprint and extract more metal from ores of increasingly declining quality" – Prof. Kevin Galvin (Director - Centre for Advanced Particle Processing and Transport, University of Newcastle)
We are delighted to invite members to attend this exciting event.
