Soon, we will begin the process of creating classes for the next school year. At Brock’s Gap each year we will try to evenly distribute students into classes. I have seen and tried different methods over the years, but feel the process we have in place currently is the most appropriate for our school. I have been asked several times about placement letters for students coming to BGIS for the 2017-18 school year. Hopefully, this form will assist you in giving us your input. I also encourage you to write a letter to next year’s teachers. Our teachers, as professionals, want to work with you as a parent. We see you as the child’s first teacher. You know what works well for your child, and we want to use this to our advantage.
While we can't take requests for certain teachers/teams or for certain students to be placed together, we want to make sure your concerns are addressed when making next year's placement. The placement committee will be given the information concerning students and teachers to avoid placing together and will take this information into consideration as we develop classes.
We will do everything we can to abide by your requests.
In order to be considered in the placement process, please have this form submitted by Friday, May 26, 2017. This deadline allows our staff to use your feedback and have the time needed to create balanced classes. Once rolls are published we will not be able to move students after the fact.
