Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Interest Form
MBSR is an 8-week evidence based program where participants engage in a variety of mindfulness practices including meditation, mindful movement (yoga), mindful walking, and mindful eating. Participants attend a 2.5 hour class every week for 8 weeks and one All-Day silent retreat (8am-6pm). Participants are also required to engage in 45 minutes of daily mindfulness practices during the course. The Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing at CSUN is in the process of launching this program in January 2025. The cost of this course would be $250 for students, $400 for staff/faculty, and for community members $500. A sliding scale is available for staff, faculty, and community members. Would this be of interest to you?
