Future Generations University is expanding its Alumni Success Mapping for Climate Adaptation initiative to include more alumni around the world.
Building on the pilot started in Nepal, three alumni clusters have formed in this next phase. Now we invite more alumni to join preexisting clusters or form new ones to document and share community-driven solutions to climate challenges in their own regions.
Through this initiative, alumni teams will receive data management tools (Kobo member account), mentorship, and training in Success Mapping. Each cluster will showcase local examples of adaptation, collaboration, and sustainable change, contributing to a growing global network of resilience and learning.
This form helps us understand your interest, experience, and regional context so we can see what the best fit is for the next phase of Success Mapping. Training will begin in September/October 2026.
Please keep in mind the following Cluster Formation Requirements.
Each cluster must demonstrate a foundation of shared purpose and local commitment.
Minimum Membership: At least three alumni located in the same region or sharing a common sectoral focus, ideally across multiple cohorts or classes.
Local Authorization & Ethics: Success Mapping should be a part of work or community projects you are already involved in. Follow local rules and get permission if needed. Every person who answers your survey must give informed consent. Please explain how you will do this in your plan.
Self-Financing Capacity: Groups should demonstrate basic self-sufficiency to manage local logistics, internet access, and communication costs, confirming readiness for autonomous operation.
Shared Leadership: Members must define clear roles and responsibilities within the team (e.g., coordinator, data lead, storyteller).
Commitment to Deliverables: Clusters should agree on a specific number of documented community successes to be mapped and presented.
Articulated Group Goal: Each team must define its collective vision, describing how success mapping contributes to local climate resilience and aligns with SEED-SCALE principles.
