2020 Jazzschool Girls' Jazz & Blues Camp Info & Registration
Dear Musicians and Parents,
Not unexpectedly, both Jazzschool buildings will be closed all of summer 2020. I thought about trying to run a Girls' Camp online, but our camp is unique in many ways, including these:
1. We have more ensembles (about 14) than any other Jazzschool camp and playing together is person with other campers and faculty is one of our most cherished experiences
2. We have more faculty (20) than any other Jazzschool camp, making an online experience quite complicated
3. We think it's important for the girls to meet others who are making music and encountering some of the same situations in their school bands. The in-person socializing and making new musical friends are very important for them.
4. We also believe that the in-person interaction with our female professionals is key to the camp experience.

For these reasons, we will not try to run the 2020 Camp online. If there is an available week to run it during the year, I will let you know. Otherwise, we're looking ahead to the 2021 Camp during the first week of August (probably Aug. 2-6, 2021). Thank you so much for allowing us to educate and entertain your girls at our camp! Feel free to email me here with any questions. Here's to a great camp in 2021!
All the best, Jean Fineberg, Director

Can you house an out-of-town camper for the week?
We sometimes have requests from out-of-town girls who would love to come to camp, but have nowhere to stay. If you can provide housing for an out-of-town girl, we would put you directly in touch with the family to work out the details. We operate as a referral service only. Thank you in advance if you can help in this way!
