Program Description:Students will learn the art of parade float and mask making along with theatre, dance and movement in preparation for the Summer Solstice Parade. This year's theme is "Celebrating Unity" and the float will utilize the featured artwork titled "Solstice System" to create a float the artwork's ideals and design. Students will not only learn new skills but also confidence to express themselves in any setting though this unique hands on art program. Students will participate in the parade in the Solstice Parade on June 25 as well as Solstice opening performances on Friday, June 23 and Festival Finale performances on Sunday June 25 at 2:30 PM at Alamanda Park. Students should bring a bag lunch.
