Requirements: Youth must be 11-18 years old, stand between 4’10 - 6’7, and know how to ride a bicycle. Participants should arrive having eaten breakfast and wearing comfortable/weather-appropriate clothing, and closed-toe shoes.
Tuition: The camp fee is $150.00 per participant; if tuition is a barrier to participation, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org; sliding scale pricing and scholarships are available on a first come, first served basisAll equipment is included; reusable water bottle (to keep), bike, helmet, gloves (to borrow)
Schedule overview:Monday 6/24: Safety: Basic safe riding/handling skills, bike set up, safety checks, ergonomicsTuesday 6/25: Preparation: Ride ready, tools & their uses, and bike partsWednesday 6/26: Community: Group riding skills, bike maintenance & mechanics, and flat repairThursday 6/27: Achievement: Advanced handling, road rules, and hand signalsFriday 6/28: Fun: Long, destination bike ride, pizza party, and graduationEach day also includes fun activities and of course, a ride (5-25 miles, depending on group fitness)!
Of course, weather is unpredictable. If the forecast is unfavorable, we'll contact you and refund your child's tuition for any days cancelled.
