Royal Holloway Academy Community Interest Survey
Royal Holloway Academy (RHA) is an Early College secondary institution with an emphasis in the Visual Arts and Performing Arts. Currently, the Dudley Foundation for the Arts has a Charter Planning Committee deployed that is applying to operate as a public charter school under the authority of the Charter Institute at Erskine and South Carolina Department of Education. Tentatively, the planning committee has a goal of opening the academy to scholars in the of Fall 2022. The academy will admit scholars grades 6-9 and add an additional grade annually until the Academy hosts grades 6-12.
A focus on the giftedness of each scholar as well as the notion that all children learn differently create an atmosphere which provides each scholar an experiential education infused in the arts. Scholars have the opportunity to participate in a dual-enrollment program, which allows them to acquire a South Carolina High School Diploma and Associate's of the Arts degree from an accredited institution.
