Membership Form

Moffat Seed Library is a free project for gardeners in the DG10, DG11, and ML12 areas of Dumfries and Galloway. Our aim is to create a collection of local seeds that reflect our community’s culture and heritage. We want our members to share seeds, stories, and knowledge with each other.

How it works:

  • You borrow seeds to grow in your garden.
  • At the end of the growing season, you can save seeds and return some to the library.
  • These seeds are then available for others to borrow next year, and the cycle continues.
By filling out this form and borrowing seeds, you automatically become a member of the Seed Library.

We encourage all members to learn how to save seeds, starting with easy-to-grow plants like beans, peas, lettuce, and tomatoes. If you can’t save seeds, please consider donating a packet or two of fresh, commercially-grown, open-pollinated seeds to help keep the library stocked.

Please remember, all seeds you return should be open-pollinated and non-GMO.
