Do you love Downtown Waterloo? Are you ready to share the hype?
Join the Downtown Waterloo Hype Team! The Downtown Waterloo Hype Team is composed of community members who share a passion for the progress happening in downtown and a desire to promote it. Hype Team members serve as ambassadors during large events held in Downtown Waterloo. They work as a united front to welcome visitors downtown, answer any questions visitors may have, and encourage people to use #downtownwaterloo when posting about their positive experience downtown.
As a Hype Team member you are committing to volunteer for 2-hour shifts at a minimum of four events each year, attend four Support Local events each year, and be an ambassador for the heart of our community Downtown Waterloo.
Hype Team members are required to attend a 3-hour orientation and training session. During the orientation, team members will complete a hospitality training program and become "I am Waterloo" certified.
Orientations are scheduled to take place at the following dates and times:
Wednesday, May 24 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Tuesday, June 6 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Wednesday, June 7 from 5:30 to 8:30pm
