Survey: Selecting & Prioritizing Demolitions with Limited Funding
Complete by November 30th 2020

The Genesee County Land Bank Authority is a non-profit, government organization that accepts vacant and abandoned properties from the Genesee County Treasurer after tax-foreclosure. The majority of the houses the Land Bank receives are blighted and in need of significant repair or demolition, yet no funding comes with these houses to fix them up or demolish them. Even after the Land Bank demolished nearly 5,000 during the past five years, more than 1,600 blighted houses remain on the demolition list. The Land Bank received $448,000 from the C.S. Mott Foundation through Focus on Flint. This is only enough funding to demolish 30-35 houses. We would like you to help us prioritize blighted and burned houses held by the Land Bank for demolition given that only limited funding is available. Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey to help guide how we prioritize and select structures already on our demolition list for funding.
