Whatever the issue you care about, the municipal elections will impact you! Let us know what your concerns are as a student so we can share those with the candidates at the mayoral election this month. On May 31st, the United Way Greater Toronto (UWGT), Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and The Toronto Star (The Star) will be co-hosting mayoral candidates for a debate on the critical social and economic challenges facing our city.  

The debate, which will take place at the Ted Rogers School, will be a pivotal forum for the mayoral candidates to address the critical issues that impact residents across the city, including students.

From health care and urban planning, transit, jobs, climate change, poverty and policing, municipalities provide the various services that impact our lives on a daily basis. This debate will provide Torontonians a vital opportunity to hear directly from the candidates vying to represent their interests.
