Down Syndrome Awareness and A Sensory Thanksgiving!
Down Syndrome Awareness: Thursday, November 21 @ 6:30PM
Sensory Thanksgiving: Friday, November 22 @ 6:00 PM
Down Syndrome Awareness: Local author and mother Jaclyn Goodpaster will be reading from her book, "Fissie for Short", doing an inclusion activity, and a Q&A with Jaclyn, Felicity, and her brother Gideon. This program is wonderful for family members and friends of children with Down Syndrome, as well as for any of those curious about how they can better understand and include individuals with Down Syndrome.
Sensory Thanksgiving: Sensory programming offers a whole-sense experience in a calm and quiet setting for children on the autism spectrum, with sensory-processing difficulties, and those with other special needs. November's program will feature a sensory storytime, allergy-friendly snacks, and Thanksgiving-themed sensory stations.
