'22 Member Political Organizer Application
This year, we face a crucial election for the future of organized workers in Pennsylvania. Voters this year will choose who will be our next Governor and the choice could not be more clear. Josh Shapiro is fighting to build stronger unions raise up the voices of working people and fight for fairness across Pennsylvania. The opposition hopes to take away workers rights and end the right to have a union. In order to win this year we need to organize into the 2022 election around our core demands of strong unions, safe staffing, and fair funding. Our Member Political Organizer positions this year will be focused on leadership development and deepening our bench of political activism across our union.

This year, we want to interview early for a host of different opportunities that will be offered throughout the year. Here are some of the positions we have planned so far:

SUMMER(JULY)/FALL(NOVEMBER) '22: We have 15 openings for MPOs to work with the state council and our endorsed candidates.  The expectation is that members accepted into the program will be able to fully participate (full-time) in all aspects of the program, beginning this summer and continuing through the election in November. The majority of these positions will be working directly with our SEIU State Council in getting out the vote across our union and to general voters. 2-3 of the positions will be embedded directly in our endorsed candidate's campaigns. Strong door knockers and phone bank warriors encouraged to apply! Key locations: PHILADELPHIA, PITTSBURGH, SCRANTON, HARRISBURG

There will be continuing opportunities as the general election period begins that will be open for all applicants to interview for statewide as well.
