Coach Workshop Professional Development Opportunity
In conjunction with the 2019 Canadian Lawn Bowling Championships, national team coach Terry Scott will be offering a professional development opportunity for Ontario bowls coaches. The workshop will be held at the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club on August 17, from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

This workshop is targeted at coaches who are working with Learn-to-Compete and Train-to-Compete level athletes (for more information, visit https://www.bowlscanada.com/en/programs/ltad.html). This coach workshop will focus on identifying solutions to gaps in the Canadian bowls training environment, effective coach interventions at competitions, designing intentional training sessions, and examining the rapidly changing role of the bowls coach. Spaces are limited, and spots will be allocated based on qualifications on a first-come-first-served basis.

There is no cost to attendees. Funding for this event was made possible by the Government of Ontario through the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport.
