Work with a Growing Together volunteer to select some plants that are suited to our local park
Participate in an event to prepare the soil (no digging required)

Help water plants in their first season to get them established
Occasionally weed the square metre garden to keep it tidy
Complete a survey or talk with a Growing Together volunteer about how the experience is going

While a template will be provided later, this question gives you some things to think about now, and gives us some information about how prepared people feel to move ahead. Express why it's important to you to be part of the Spare a Square pilot
Suggest 1-3 locations for the garden in your local park
Observe and identify sun and moisture conditions in those locations (dry/medium/wet, shady/part shade/part sun/sunny)
Suggest some plants that you'd hope to incorporate (good websites and books will be suggested)
If possible, create a schedule with names of volunteers for watering and weeding
Choose from a list of options for what your team would be willing to do in your neighbourhood to get others excited about the garden
Create a list of basic gardening tools that your team has available to them (we may be able to arrange for a loan of tools if needed))
Name two people on your team who agree to be the primary contact people with Action 13 for check-ins on how your garden is growing and being enjoyed
