Equal Employment Opportunity and Americans with Disabilities Act:
It is the policy of Root to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, age, physical or mental disability, religion, national origins, marital status, sex, pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, ancestry, political belief or activity, status as a veteran, military service, application for military service, or any other status protected by applicable law. This policy applies to all areas of employment, including recruitment, hiring, training and development, promotion, transfer, termination, layoff compensation benefits, social and recreational programs, and all other conditions and privileges of employment in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
In addition, it is our policy to comply with all the relevant and applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We will not discriminate against any qualified employee or applicant with respect to any conditions of employment because of a person's physical or mental disability. In addition, we will make reasonable accommodations wherever necessary for all employees or applicants with disabilities, or pregnancy-related conditions, provided that the individual is otherwise qualified to safely perform the duties and assignments connected with the job training program; provided that any accommodations made do not require undue burden, difficulty, or expense; and provided that any accommodations required do not fundamentally alter the foundational pedagogy and activities of our job training program.
All persons accepted to the program will be offered renumeration in the form of a stipend and therefore, in compliance with federal law, will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
