BACKGROUND: The Leadership Academy empowers multi-racial college students and early professionals to contribute to shaping public policy and lead on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Our Fellowship program is an 11-month professional development program for emerging social justice leaders taking the lead on race equity work, and advocating for change on a systemic level.
Our Summer Associate program offers an intensive 10-week training program for college students and early-career leaders who want to gain real-world policy experience and who want to invest in their professional growth. NOTE: We are not accepting applications for 2025. If interested in applying in 2026 please let us know in the space provided below.
Founded at UC Berkeley in 1970 by Chicano/Latino students, Casa Joaquin Murrieta is multi-racial residential leadership program is designed for full-time undergraduate students passionate about advancing racial equity.
