We are a humble Ashtanga yoga homestay retreat in nature and take a maximum of eight practitioners on each retreat. Our aim is to encourage guests to immerse themselves in all Eight Limbs of Ashtanga yoga and to feel connected and receptive to their environment and the practice. We are not a 'yoga holiday resort' that offers lots of distractions and excursions, neither do we indulge needy guests. Having an open mind, good sense of humour, easy going attitude, awareness of other people and a team spirit, will allow guests to embrace the joy of NIRVRTA and the diversity and charm that is Incredible India. How does this philosophy resonate with you? *
Your answer
We need to ensure that we have receptive and joyful practitioners staying with us. Those who have truly connected with NIRVRTA's philosophy (ie practising the Eight Limbs of Ashtanga yoga in nature, with a small group of guests, away from urban distractions), have all been receptive, open-minded, positive, easy going, joyful, willing to muck-in as team players, have a great sense of humour and honour practising Ashtanga yoga in the method of Sri K Pattabhi Jois. Those who tend to be demanding, unreceptive, unwilling to learn or be team-players, who require a lot of attention and thrive on complaining and being negative, have found NIRVRTA challenging! How does this sit with you? *
