Marching Band and Color Guard is not just the commitment of a student—it is also the commitment of the parent/guardian to support their child in marching band/color guard. In order to reserve a spot in the 2020 CHS Marching Band, this contract and fee must be returned to Mr. Snell or the CHS main office by Monday, June 1st 2020.On June 1st, CHS does not have your contract/fee, you will be removed from the marching band class and will not be considered a member in our 2020 production. You may serve the band in another capacity (as an alternate, as the band manager, etc.), but will not have a performing role in the ensemble on that date. This policy enables that every student who is in the marching band will be successful. *
All marching band events (rehearsals, sectionals, and performances, during school days and also during evenings/weekends) are required. These events all accumulate points toward the student’s grade in marching band during the fall semester. *
In order for an absence to be excused, the proper protocol for an excused absence must be followed as outlined in the 2020 marching band handbook. *
Grades – Students who do not keep their grades as a “C” or better will participate in band study hall/tutoring during lunches in order to make an effort in raising their grades. *
Marching band is a semester long commitment from every student. Once the school year starts, if a student drops from the marching band class, they will receive a “Withdrawal- Fail” grade on their CHS transcript – THIS CANNOT BE CHANGED. *

Fee: In order to reserve your spot, a $70 fee paid to “Central High School” must be returned with this contract *
The $70 is non-refundable after June 1st. This means that if you decide not to participate in the marching band after June 1st, your $70 fee will be used as a drill rewrite/music rewrite fee in order to rearrange our program for the correct number of performers. *
Payment plan: if you need a payment plan to pay this $70 fee, that is fine— please talk to Mr. Snell before June 1st in order to create a payment plan. If you sign a payment contract but quit marching band after June 1st, you will be required to pay the $70 fee in full. *
Payment will be completed through: *
