IAHS Scientific Decade Working Group Suggestion Form

We are pleased to announce that the call for suggesting new Working Groups for the HELPING Scientific Decade has been reopened! The IAHS Science for Solutions decade HELPING – Hydrology Engaging Local People IN one Global world has an overarching goal of understanding hydrological diversity and integrating knowledge across scales and regionsAdditionally, a number of sub-goals have been identified, addressing research, products or community building. We invite you to use this form to suggest a working group which supports one of the goals suggested.

We currently have 29 well-proportioned Working Groups but we are especially looking for new cross-cutting suggestions such as:

  • Working groups on interdisciplinary research -> expansion of socio-hydrology -> legal, economic tools, behavioural tools
  • Working groups on integration -> a scientific approach to bottom-up integration.

The vision of HELPING is to solve fundamental water-related environmental and societal problems by engaging hydrological scientists with other disciplines and local stakeholders across the globe. We look forward to receiving your valuable suggestions for new Working Groups.
