LADA Labor Justice Unit Presentation

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office (LADA), in partnership with the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC), will be hosting a presentation on the LADA Wage Theft Criminal Investigation Unit.


Topics to be covered:

1. Description of the unit and program

2. How it connects to PWC or other Community-Based Organization's (CBO) work

3. How to identify labor exploitation and wage theft cases that can qualify for criminal charges. Elements/factors of a wage theft that qualifies for criminal charges.

4. How we can collaborate on labor exploitation cases. Role of CBOs as worker advocates ; the do's and don'ts.
