2018, 6th Annual Ramona Art & Wine Festival - 1st Annual Commemorative Poster Contest


What: We are looking for UNIQUE art to use for (1) 100 posters 12x18 to advertise 2018 Art and Wine Festival throughout the region; and (2) 50 prints 18x24 of poster art on quality paper numbered and signed by the artist to be sold at the Festival and 2Create Gallery at the Artists Reception on October 26. Original art will be auctioned off live at the Festival.

Who: Any artist may apply who is participating in the 2018 Ramona Art and Wine Festival on Nov. 3, 2018 at Begent Ranch either as a wine barrel artist or as a booth artist.

Submission process: In addition to filling out this application, send a digital, unedited and unfiltered photo of your entry of artwork in a vertical (portrait) layout in your chosen medium of 18x24 to artistsrawf@gmail.com with “2018 POSTER CONTEST” in the subject line by no later than September 4. The selection committee will notify two semi-finalists by September 9 that they have been selected. The two semi-finalists will then deliver the original art for final review and selection to Hatfield Creek Winery. The committee will announce the finalist on Wednesday, September 12.

Content: Art MUST include dominant representation of wine and art; MAY also include Ramona hills or anything that represents or says “Ramona,” painted wine barrels, representation of Begent Ranch, musicians, gourmet food, artist booths, barrel auction, etc.

Must Include: “Ramona Art & Wine Festival 2018” as part of the art.

Winning Award: The winning artist will receive free booth space and four Passport tickets, two of which are transferrable, to the 2018 Ramona Art and Wine Festival. In addition, the artist’s name will be displayed visibly on the posters and signed on the prints. The Festival will also publicize the winning artist in a press release, the festival program, and other promotional outreach.

Runner Up: The runner-up will receive two, transferrable, passport tickets.

Waiver of Rights to Art: Commercial Utilization of the Work: Not withstanding the assignment of any advertising/promotion rights to the client, the Client (HEART Mural Project) shall be assigned and retain all copyrights of the artwork, including but not limited to advertising/promotion and publication rights. The artist shall be entitled to customary and appropriate identification as the creator of the work.
