RJN's Peace Lotus Day Event:  Histories, Communities & Cultures of Resistance
The Racial Justice Network will be hosting and participating in two events in celebration of Peace Lotus Internationalist Solidarity Day of Anti-War Resistance.

We are thrilled to welcome back Professor Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o for this event! We will explore the stories, strategies, and resilience of communities resisting oppression and the significance of Peace Lotus Day. With the return of our esteemed guests following on from the International Symposium joined by Esther Xosei, Peninah Wangari-J, and Ndungi Githuku.

Join us as we reflect on the significance of this day and its relevance in today's world, exploring resistance in the face of continued imperialist and colonialist oppression.  Join us as we discuss the relevance of historical resistance in today's context, and explore ways to resist ongoing imperialist and colonialist oppression.

Last October, we brought a delegation of national and international scholars, activists and artivists headed up by the celebrated intellectual Professor Ngûgî wa Thiong’o. We held events across Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester
