Grand Rapids High School - Student Parking Permit Application & Expectations
Being Responsible includes:
  • Displaying this year's parking permit in the rearview mirror
  • Parking in the designated student spaces (does not include the Reif, Faculty, or Visitor spaces)
  • Driving appropriately on school grounds (no speeding or wreckless driving)
  • Not borrowing/sharing your parking permit with another student 
  • Not allowing peers to ride in the box/bed of trucks/back of SUVs or vans 
  • Wearing a helmet if you are driving a motorcycle
Being Respectful includes:
  • Not tampering with other vehicles parked on campus
  • Self-reporting any accidents you are involved in on school grounds, including dings or small marks
  • Allowing school district buses/vehicles to exit the parking lot 
  • Stopping for people in the crosswalks 
Additional Information:
  • Parking on school grounds is a privilege.  Failure to meet school/legal expectations may result in temporary or permament loss of the privilege.
  • The school district is not responsible for lost/stolen items
  • Vehicles parked on campus are subject to be searched when school officials have a reasonable suspicion that the search will uncover a violation of law and/or school policy 
  • It is prohibited to possess a weapon in a vehicle, including use for hunting
  • Failiure to meet school expectations may result in a vehicle being towed at the owner's expense
