Sioux Empire Community Theatre Education Coordinator
The Sioux Empire Community Theatre is looking for an organized and energetic individual to serve as our Theatre Education Coordinator. This is currently a contracted position with a stipend of $5,000 per year. The organization plans to grow this position as the Education Program continues to grow.
General Qualifications Include:
Strong leadership skills and commitment to theater education.
Genuine passion for and knowledge of the importance of arts education for youth.
Has an artistic appreciation and understanding of the Sioux Empire Community Theatre mission.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information quickly and accurately and to implement directives.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
With the assistance of the Education Team, general responsibilities include:
Recruit camp personnel and production teams.
Secure rehearsal space.
Schedule, coordinate, and oversee implementation of all camps and workshops.
Coordinate and support enrollment efforts for workshops and summer camps.
Ensure that the camp environment is safe, humane, respectful, inclusive, and appropriate.
Check in regularly on-site at workshops and camps to ensure programmatic excellence.
Participate in education committee meetings regularly and board meetings as requested.
Provide real time feedback for the continued development and operation of Sioux Empire Community Theatre education programs.
