Community Survey - Intersection @ E Hennepin Ave & 5th Ave SE
Hennepin County, in partnership with City of Minneapolis, is making improvements on East Hennepin Avenue in 2020. The proposals have included repaving the road, improving ADA accessibility along the corridor, adding a Bike Boulevard and upgrading the pedestrian flashing light beacon at the crosswalk to a newer flashing light beacon system. More information on the entire E Hennepin Ave project can be found here: https://www.hennepin.us/hennepinavenue

This survey specifically aims to capture public opinion on the safety and accessibility of the intersection at E Hennepin Avenue and 5th Avenue SE. This is a 3-way intersection that operates more like a 4-way intersection, with the Miller Textile Building parking lot being the 4th entry point from the North (Miller Textile Building = Five Watt, HeadFlyer, etc). This intersection can be chaotic for all modes of transportation, and we want to hear your thoughts on it.

Our goal is to have the city conduct additional traffic studies before finalizing their plan for this intersection.
