VOX Teen Communications (VOX ATL) partners with schools and Atlanta-area nonprofits serving teens to project teens' voices, and we're thrilled to partner with you!
Organizations serving teens can request a: - Workshop (or workshop series) — 60-90-minute customized hands-on self-expression and skills-building experience (see below), or
- Speak-out Station — interactive activities in support of peer-to-peer self-expression and content creation.
By signing* this form, partners agree that VOX ATL has permission to publish the work that results from our engagement together in any of our digital and print platforms, including social media. All work published by VOX ATL is
copyrighted and may be republished by agreement on this form*.
Before you sign up: 1) Please check to see that your group’s participation permission form already includes a media release that also names partners (like VOX ATL). If you do not already have guardian permission and media release , please make a note on the form below that you’ll need a VOX ATL permission form for participants.
2) Decide (ideally with youth input!) what you'd like VOX ATL to bring to your program or class:
- Workshops: VOX ATL offers 1- to 2-hour youth voice workshops ($1000 fee**) to engage teenagers (ages 13-19) in self-expression and skill development. Workshops are peer-facilitated and adult supported. See voxatl.org/partner-with-vox for workshop descriptions.
- Speak-out Stations (aka Creation Stations): Youth and adults from VOX ATL create and lead interactive activities in support of peer-to-peer self-expression, skill building and content creation.
- Publishing agreement: In addition to confirming that the partner organization has media release from all youth participants, including parent/guardian permission, in the requested event and/or for submissions sent to VOX for publication, partners agree that they will not edit the original content without express written permission from VOX ATL staff. Partners also agree to recognize VOX ATL as the original publisher of the work and to link back to the original published content on VOX ATL's media platforms.
** Exceptions to the workshop fees are made for VOX ATL's grant-funded programs. Please work with Rachel@voxatl.org on our fee schedule. Workshop & Speak-out Station partners agree: - VOX ATL will produce and publish content that results from these activities, with permission granted through this agreement.
- For VOX ATL's grant-funded (free or subsidized) workshops, we ask for a minimum of 8 teens per workshop and maximum of 30 teens per workshop (unless otherwise arranged in writing).
- An adult staff member or other designee from the school/organization receiving the workshop must be present at all times and participate in the youth-led activities in support of youth participation.
- VOX ATL will provide an evaluation survey, and by signing this form the partner organization agrees to complete the survey and ask teen participants to do so as well.
- For grant-funded (free or subsidized) workshops, the partner requesting the workshop agrees to help VOX secure the demographic data needed of participants to comply with funding reports.
- VOX ATL has permission and authority to publish in print and on all digital platforms any material (writing, art, video, audio, etc) created by workshop participants, as well as images, audio and video of the participants in the workshop (unless otherwise specified for privacy purposes in writing), and the partner / requesting organization confirms that participants have media releases on file that support this permission.
- Sometimes VOX ATL's publishing partners reprint content from VOXAtl.org. Partners requesting services below must provide written notice if they do not want VOX ATL to grant permission for such re-publishing.
- Partners will provide 48-hours notice of cancellation or rescheduling, except in case of an emergency.
Please complete the following form to collaborate with VOX ATL in a community workshop and/or Speak-out Station to project the voices of Atlanta-area teenagers.
