Fall 2020 New Student Orientation for Adult Learners
Congratulations on your admission to Northern Virginia Community College. To support your successful transition and integration into college life, you are invited to attend this New Student Orientation for Adult Learners. In particular, we invite degree-seeking students who are:
-first-time in college students (over the age of 25),
-transferring into to NOVA from another college/university (all ages), or
-returning to college after a leave of absence (all ages).
The purpose of new student orientation is to prepare students to be academically successful. It will also offer you the opportunity to connect with other adult students. Please plan on participating in this important program.
The NSO for Adult Learners will be offered VIRTUALLY using Zoom. You will need access to the Internet with audio (microphone or phone). Once you register, you will receive a confirmation and then a link to the VIRTUAL session via email. You can select any section provided by any campus; however, consider selecting your session offered by the campus where you will take most of your courses (if available).
