Radio U is a collaboration between XRAY.FM, Stream PDX, and the Media Institute for Social Change. The fall session will be offered from October 10–November 28 in Portland, Oregon. The course will include a total of six Tuesday evening sessions, with no class on Halloween or the week of Thanksgiving.

Admission is limited to 8 students and costs $50 per person. Scholarships are available for those who need it. XRAY Members can take the course for $40.

Applicants with experience and/or interest in radio, audio and media production, journalism, or writing are encouraged to apply although there is no prerequisite for the course. Please keep in mind that during the course, you will be required to assemble your story and conduct interviews outside of class time.

Most of the class sessions will be held at Citizen (3636a N Mississippi Avenue). There will also be one special class session at XRAY.FM studios (5415 N Albina Avenue) and one at the Stream PDX trailer in the parking lot of Open Signal (2766 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard).
