Do you have a dream project for your EAST program, school, or community? As we all know, it’s one thing to have great ideas and another to write them down in essential, measurable details—and then find funding for your project.
In this workshop, you will work with the Students Involved in Sustaining Their Arkansas (SISTA) staff and the Business Communication Lab (BCL) from the University of Arkansas to explore potential grants for the project you envision, hone your business writing skills, and work toward making your project measurable and real through grant writing and discussion. This bootcamp session will culminate in a community “cocktail hour” when you will get to network and discuss your project with University of Arkansas faculty and staff and Northwest Arkansas community members.
In preparation for this bootcamp, please write and submit one paragraph about the project for which you are seeking funding. Please bring components of your projects including but not limited to any writing, financials, timelines, statistics about community need or other research. Though it will be useful to have some writing on-hand, we welcome projects at all levels, including those still in the idea phase. Join us as we help you plan out your project visions and help you strengthen your business communication skills.
This training is limited to the first 15 facilitators who complete this registration form. Completing this form does not confirm that you have a spot on the tour. EAST will monitor registration forms and will reach out to the first 15 respondents to confirm availability and begin the invoicing process. All other facilitators will be placed on a waiting list (in order of the time stamp date) and EAST will reach out if and when spots become available. Thank you!
