Non-McGill Student MOC Membership Application

We’re thrilled that you’re interested in joining our community of outdoor enthusiasts!

This form helps us get to know you better and ensures our club is the right fit for your needs while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all members.

In addition to general questions about your interests and what you hope to gain from our club, we’ll ask some important safety and background questions. These help us uphold our commitment to creating a respectful and secure space for outdoor activities.

While we welcome members from beyond the McGill community and love sharing our perks—including gear rentals, house stays, and trips—our priority is McGill University students. If you’re not a student, this may not be the best place to find your primary source of community and excursions, as some trips will be reserved for students. Additionally, there may be times when gear rentals are unavailable, such as during university reading breaks, training times, summer months, and other peak periods.

We appreciate your openness in providing this information. Applications are reviewed on the last Wednesday of each month, and you will receive a response shortly after. (Response time may vary during summer months).

According to the CONSTITUTION OF MCGILL OUTDOORS CLUB:

6.4 Persons other than those mentioned will be admitted to the M.O.C. subject to the consent of two-thirds of the Executive Council and upon payment of the appropriate dues.

6.5 Persons violating University rules or M.O.C. regulations may have their membership refused or canceled by a two-thirds majority of the Executive Council.
