What is the Opportunity Program?
The EducationUSA Opportunity Program is funded by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Its purpose is to assist with the cost of applying to full 4-year Undergraduate programs in US universities. Successful applicants will be highly qualified students in their last year of high school, with outstanding grades, fluent English, demonstrated leadership, and limited financial resources to pay for the cost of university in the US.
Rather, Opportunity Scholars will work closely with EducationUSA Advisers throughout the year to apply to up to 8 (eight) US universities where they have the best chances of receiving a full scholarship from the university.
THE OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM IS FOR STUDENTS TO COMPLETE A FULL 4-YEAR UNIVERSITY DEGREE. It is NOT for short-term exchange programs, Graduate degrees, intensive English, or any other programs of study.
Students applying to the Opportunity Program expect to be eligible for scholarships and funding for tuition and living expenses from other sources. Through Opportunity, students may apply to a maximum of eight universities in the US. If granted, Opportunity funds cover the following costs:
