Serious concerns over changes to retiree healthcare and glaring deficits in health and safety COVID-19 pandemic protocols have galvanized the bulk of the UFT’s caucuses and groups, along with parents, students, allies, community organizations and leaders to come together outside the UFT’s Shanker Hall to support the Resolution ON HEALTH CARE PLAN CHANGES – CURRENT AND FUTURE being presented inside at the first UFT Delegate Assembly of the year.
*** A draft of the resolution can be found here:

We are also seeking redress to the continued lax health and safety protocols that threaten our school communities now and long-term, especially our most vulnerable and medically fragile.
We want to share a list of HEALTHCARE, HEALTH AND SAFETY questions on this day that we'd like the UFT, Municipal Labor Committee (MLC) and the City of New York to address immediately.
Join us.
