Spring Improv at PBES
Nothing gets the creative juices flowing like improvisation. Improv is a great way to develop imagination and brain-storming skills while having fun. In improv class, we will start with warm-up games and move on to various improv games (some used in professional improv shows). 6 weekly 1 hour classes. Classes are limited to 14 students.  Cost: $130.

Wednesdays, 4-5pm in PBES (room # 206, instrumental music room), Apr 8- May 13

Note, if April 15 remains a non-instructional day, we will have class outdoors in Opal Daniels Park (at Hancock and Sheridan Aves). If April 15 becomes a make-up day, class will be at PBES as usual.

This class is taught by Gretchen Weigel Doughty. I have an MFA in Theatre and have been teaching theatre classes/camps for the City of Takoma Park and in Takoma Park schools for over 15 years and have a recent background check.  My students have performed on and off Broadway and regionally.

Total cost is $130. Please submit payment upon enrollment. If you need to make financial arrangements that aren't options below, please drop me an email at: gretchen@onstagetakoma.com -- I don't want anyone to miss out! Amounts paid are partially (less $35) refundable until one week before the class start date. After that, a refund can only be issued if the place can be filled by another student.

Dismissal Info: Who is allowed to pick up? Can child self-dismiss without a pickup person (walk home etc). If child is not self-dismissing, please list all names of allowed pick-up people.
I, on behalf of myself and my child(ren) hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless Gretchen Weigel Doughty and her assistants from any and all claims of liability arising from any accident, personal injury, disease or property loss or damage sustained by my child while that person is participating in activities connected with Gretchen Weigel Doughty and On Stage Takoma camps, classes and workshops. I understand that theatre and movement-based activities have inherent risks of injury, and, being fully aware of all risk, I consent to have my child participate in the programs and activities offered by Gretchen Weigel Doughty,and I accept full responsibility for providing adequate health and accident insurance coverage for the protection of the child who participates in these programs/activities. I allow Gretchen Weigel Doughty to take any necessary emergency action including calling 911, or taking my child to urgent care or the E/R in the event I am unable to do so. Further I understand and acknowledge that because of the physical nature of theater and costume craft, there may be physical contact between directors, volunteers, staff, and students during rehearsals, and costuming.
