Hurricane Ida Business Recovery Fund
Thank you for your interest in the Explore Millburn-Short Hills Hurricane Ida Business Recovery Fund (hereinafter “Fund”). For the information about the application process, rules, timeline and other questions, email Steve Grillo at

The Fund has been established to provide economic stimulus support to businesses and property owners affected by the storm which occurred on September 1, 2021. To be eligible, the property and/or businesses must be located within the Millburn-Short Hills Special Improvement District (SID) and must have suffered demonstrable damage or loss related to materials, equipment, or the structure.

Both business owners and property owners at the same address may apply and will be treated as separate requests based on damages. To search if you are eligible, see pages 14-18 here:

The Fund is managed by Explore Millburn-Short Hills, the management entity for the SID for the Township of Millburn. Funds are provided from two sources including private donations to Explore and the Township reserve account which has been utilized to address emergency issues including natural disasters. Disbursement of the Township reserve portion is contingent on Municipal and State contract approval. Explore is a designated 501c3 non-profit organization (EIN 85-3477595) and is responsible for reviewing all applications and disbursing funds to accepted applicants on a rolling basis. Additional rounds of funding may be available in the future and Explore will release that information when applicable.
