FILL OUT THIS FORM TO GET ON THE WAITLIST!

~ Registration Process

We are so grateful that so many in our community want to celebrate Sukkot at LF! Due to limited capacity, we gather inquiries and offer participant spots on a first-come, first-serve basis, with spaces held for first-time attendees, trans femme folks, Jews of Color, Indigenous Jews, Sephardim & Mizrahim. Filling out this form lets us know that you are interested. We truly wish we could accommodate everyone who wants to participate, but as of now the size of our space and the capacity of our event support limits this event to ~40 participants.

Please fill out this form by Sept 1st to let us know what's calling you to join Linke Fligl for Sukkot. We will be in touch by September 15th at the latest to let you know if there is a spot for you. Space may fill up before then, but we will have a waitlist. If you would be coming by plane and need to know sooner, please reach out directly.

~ Dates

Sunday Oct 13th - Wed Oct 16th, 2019.
Arrival: Sunday afternoon
Departure: Mid-morning Wednesday

We ask participants to join us for the entirety of chag (holiday) which begins on Sunday at sundown and ends Tuesday after nightfall. We will conclude chag with havdallah (closing ritual of the holiday) at which point participants are welcome to leave if they need to. We will officially close the retreat on Wednesday mid-morning and all are welcome to stay until the end.

At LF, we see stepping into chag observance as a moment to be in spacious collective imagining of the world to come, which we get to experience weekly on Shabbat and deepen even further over two days of chag. We recognize that celebrating chag for 2 days in the middle of the work week may be a new experience for some, and challenging or complicated to prioritize under capitalism. Holding this in mind, we are grateful to honor the sacred cycles of our tradition with Jews all over the world by celebrating this holiday in sync with the Jewish calendar.

Participants are welcome to depart Tuesday night after havdallah if needed. If you are interested in coming but cannot attend for the entire time, please be in touch directly to discuss.

~ Cost

We aim to operate under a gift economy as much as possible, and see this offering as a gift to our community, land and movements. That being said, the cost of materials, food, space and labor is still significant. To meet the cost for this event, we ask for a contribution starting at $36 per night (sliding scale of $108-$540+ for this three-night event). No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and there is a solidarity fund that folks can apply for.

LF gives 10% of all sales and program contributions to the Schagticoke First Nations as a local land tax.

~ Accessibility

This gathering is a camp-out with food prepared collectively in an outdoor kitchen. All programming is held outdoors or in our bus, tent, sukkah or kitchen. The main camp and gathering space is flat and accessible by car. We aim to be a scent-reduced space, though we use some bug repellent with a cedar base. Indoor sleeping spaces available for those who need. Please be in touch if you have additional accessibility questions (oy@linkefligl.com).

A more detailed list of accessibility info can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1beVPBJdVcyFMF6dW0yyzcvtudrZjkudq9SGe2yiJUj0/edit?usp=sharing

We look forward to this culmination festival all year. We're so excited that you are interested in joining us on the land to celebrate the harvest and the work of striving for wholeness in community this season and in years to come.
