Your input is essential in helping us plan for the future, especially as the district faces ongoing financial challenges such as “save harmless” funding (meaning we are not receiving an increase in state aid compared to the prior year due to declining enrollment), the rising cost of contractual obligations, and the loss of federal COVID relief funds that previously supported programs and staffing.
Given these challenges, it is likely that we will need to both make reductions and exceed the tax cap in order to sustain essential programs and services for students. We want to be transparent about this reality as we work to balance fiscal responsibility with our commitment to providing a high-quality education. Your input will help guide how we prioritize resources and make thoughtful decisions during this difficult process.
