Artist Application: Capilano University seeks mural artists on the Sunshine Coast
In connection with its 50th anniversary this year, Capilano University has teamed up with the Vancouver Mural Festival to transform one of the main exterior walls at k̲álax̲-ay, the Sunshine Coast campus, into a full-colour painted mural. The mural will welcome students and the community to the Sunshine Coast campus and serve as a lasting legacy of the University’s 50th anniversary.

On behalf of the University, Vancouver Mural Festival welcomes experienced mural artists interested in this commission to apply and submit links to a portfolio of their work via website, Dropbox, Google Drive and/or Instagram. The successful artist must have mural experience, be a resident of the Sunshine Coast and available to paint between October 9 and 19, 2018.

Applications close on September 16, 2018 at 5 p.m. Artists who applied to the initial call for the Sunshine Coast project don’t need to reapply, their application will remain in the mix for consideration.
